Traditional Art
My traditional artwork is grounded in process, contrast, and emotional resonance. I work primarily in acrylic and charcoal, exploring everything from layered abstraction to bold pop art compositions. My roots lie in grisaille: a monochromatic technique that taught me to see depth through tone, and that foundation continues to inform how I build light, shadow, and structure. Many moons ago, I painted full-time from the Clapham North Art Centre, where I honed my craft and developed a deep respect for the physicality of paint. Whether working with the raw immediacy of charcoal or the vibrant punch of acrylic, each piece reflects a moment of connection between thought and gesture, memory and mark-making.
