Inclusive Foundations
Accessibility is not optional, it’s essential. It’s the foundation of ethical design, inclusive strategy, and meaningful connection. As a certified accessibility advocate and neurodivergent creator, I approach every project with a commitment to equity, clarity, and care.
Designing with Empathy, Building for Everyone
Disability and neurodivergence can present real limitations, especially when systems, environments, and experiences are not designed with inclusion in mind. That’s why accessibility must be embedded from the start. It’s not just about compliance; it’s about dignity, autonomy, and belonging.
My lived experience as a solo mother to two neurodiverse children, and as someone diagnosed myself, deepens my understanding of what true access means. It’s not just technical; it’s emotional. It’s about creating spaces where people feel seen, supported, and empowered.
💡 How I Apply This to My Work:
- Strategic Design: I ensure that visual, verbal, and structural elements are accessible across platforms, digital and physical.
- Brand Development: I build identities that resonate across cognitive, cultural, and physical differences, with inclusive language and representation.
- Creative Leadership: I advocate for accessible workflows, inclusive hiring, and design systems that accommodate diverse needs.
- Tech & Innovation: I explore emerging tools through an accessibility lens, pushing for equitable access to AI, web platforms, and creative tech.
- Public Speaking & Advocacy: I speak openly about reframing adversity, designing for difference, and building inclusive futures.
Accessibility isn’t just a skill, it’s a responsibility. And when we design with empathy, we don’t just include more people we build better for everyone.
