Published Work

Over the last two decades I’ve published work across technology, education, fiction, children’s literature, wellbeing, and creative arts. While the subjects vary, they all share a common thread: a fascination with how people learn, adapt, imagine, and connect. From educational resources on Artificial Intelligence to children’s books, science fiction novels, and a few deliberately irreverent colouring books, each project reflects a different aspect of my creativity, curiosity, and willingness to take an idea from concept to completion.

This page is a collection of that work. Some titles are professional, some are personal, and some are simply proof that life is too short to be serious all the time.

Selected Highlights

  • Published author across technology, education, fiction and children’s literature.
  • Contributing author and subject matter contributor to KS4 educational materials focused on Artificial Intelligence.
  • Author of Staying Human in the Age of AI.
  • Amazon Top 3 Best Seller (Children’s category).
  • 20+ years developing The Unveiled science fiction universe.
  • Creator of 20+ published books, educational resources, and creative works.

Published Work & Contributions

Exploring technology, education, resilience, creativity, and storytelling through books, educational materials, articles, and published works.

Every publication started as a question, a challenge, an experience, or a spark of curiosity. What follows is a chronological record of the ideas I chose to turn into something tangible.

Science Fiction Novels - November 2026

I am thrilled to announce that the first books in the highly anticipated new series, The Unveiled, will be available for general sale on November 30, 2026.  This milestone is particularly meaningful to me, as it marks the culmination of over 20 years of dedication and creative development. The inception of this series began on an inspiring evening atop the hills back in 2005, where the initial concepts and characters were first envisioned. I am incredibly proud of the journey that has brought us to this moment and cannot wait to share this epic tale with all of you.

The Lifting of The Veil

The Unveiled: Book 1

In a world where the stars are vanishing, a group of stargazers embark on a journey to uncover the truth behind the cosmic disappearances. The team must confront their fears and beliefs as they navigate this new, unpredictable world, where the boundaries between science, myth, and magic blur.

The Lifting of The Veil

The Unveiled: Book 1

In a world where the stars are vanishing, a group of stargazers embark on a journey to uncover the truth behind the cosmic disappearances. Led by the determined Oliver Langston, the team includes the logical Mikhail, the mythologist Cassie, the spiritual Amara, and the practical Elijah. As they navigate the mysterious Malvern Hills, they encounter phenomena that defy explanation, glowing rocks, shifting landscapes, and an underground spring with water that seems alive.Their quest leads them to a hidden chamber where ancient symbols and glowing water reveal a nexus point, a place where realities intersect. Amara’s ritual at the water’s edge unleashes a powerful force, thinning the veil between worlds and transforming their understanding of reality. The team must confront their fears and beliefs as they navigate this new, unpredictable world, where the boundaries between science, myth, and magic blur.As they struggle to make sense of the chaos, they realise that their journey is not just about solving a cosmic mystery but about discovering the interconnectedness of all things. The Lifting of the Veil is a tale of exploration, transformation, and the enduring human spirit in the face of the unknown.

New World Unveiled

The Unveiled: Book 2

Graham and his team set out from their base camp in the Malvern Hills, determined to uncover the extent of the alien events that have upended life on Earth. As they navigate the post-apocalyptic landscape, they witness the widespread panic and chaos that has gripped the country.

Energy systems have failed, food sources are scarce, and a sense of dread permeates the streets. The team encounters other survivors, each struggling to adapt to the new reality. They remain focused on their mission to find any remaining research labs that might provide answers about the alien lifeforms and their intentions.Upon reaching London, the team discovers the city is a shadow of its former self. The alien presence is undeniable, with bizarre lifeforms appearing throughout. They meet a new ally, Dr. Charlotte Kim, a scientist who has been studying the aliens and their impact. Charlotte reveals that the aliens arrived through mysterious shifts that have affected major cities worldwide. She joins the team, and together they piece together the story of the alien arrival. The lifeforms are not hostile but are transforming the environment to suit their needs. They also discover that an ancient relic, believed to have caused the start of the unveiling, hints at deeper connections between humanity and these extraterrestrial beings. This revelation raises the stakes as the team realises the changes are permanent and far-reaching.With Charlotte’s expertise, Graham, Felix, and the group race against time to determine if there is a way to coexist with the alien presence. They learn that the shifts have disrupted not only London but the entire globe, leaving no place untouched. The team’s hopes of reversing the changes begin to fade, and they turn their focus to finding a way to adapt to the new world order. As they delve deeper into their investigation, they uncover evidence that suggests the aliens may be trying to communicate through the relic. This discovery offers a glimmer of hope that humans can negotiate a way to survive in the altered landscape.

KS4 Materials - March 2024

Contributing to Key Stage 4 educational materials on Artificial Intelligence was a particularly rewarding experience. Having witnessed AI evolve from early expert systems and Deep Blue to today's generative models, it was a privilege to help create resources that introduce the next generation to one of the most transformative technologies of our time.

It was an absolute pleasure to contribute to this Key Stage 4 material focused on Artificial Intelligence. Mind blowing to think that when I was in High School AI was still very much in its infancy, with computing power starting to increase and the birth of ‘Deep Blue’.

Phenomenal!NB: For the youngsters: Deep blue was the first computer based chess system to beat the reigning world chess champion.

Navigating Adversity- June 2021

Although this series was not initially planned, it emerged from a deeply personal experience. After the passing of my husband, I realised there are very few resources available to help neurodivergent children cope with the loss of a loved one. Thus, this series was born. Utilising simple social stories and clear imagery, the series is designed to ensure that the information can be easily understood and processed by children with additional needs. It aims to offer comfort and guidance during challenging times, providing the tools and support necessary for these young minds to navigate their emotions and experiences.

If you are easily offended then this is not the book for you.Example Text PageW is for WankerWanker – noun BRITISH vulgar slang a contemptible person (used as a generalized term of abuse). While “to wank” means “to masturbate”, the term “wanker” is seldom if ever used in British slang to denote “one who wanks”. It is quite wrong to infer from somebody’s being a wanker that they in fact wank (and vice versa), but of course, fair to assume they do in any case. Herein lies the genius of the insult: if you call someone a wanker, it’s probably true, but only literally.I suppose it all originates from our repressed Victorian sexualities, from back when everybody thought they were the only ones to suffer the secret shame of being an actual wanker. Most children these days learn the word “wanker” long before they learn its literal meaning.EXAMPLES:“You’re such a wanker!” “He lost both of his hands in a childhood kiting accident. What a wanker!.”

Childrens book: Flo & Teddy Visit the Fair - December 2013

I was inspired to write Flo and Teddy by my two-year-old son at the time. Frustrated with books that I found distasteful and not calming for a child's mind, I embarked on a mission to create characters and stories that are both adventurous and soothing. My books are designed to leave a child's mind calm and at peace, ready for sleep.

Unfortunately this is no longer in print, but it is on my to do list to resolve that! I did find some old reviews and a screenshot of when we hit the best sellers on Amazon!

Educational: New Scientist - 2006

In 2006, one of my submissions was selected for publication within a New Scientist compilation featuring answers to reader questions from scientists and subject matter experts.

Do spiders drink water? If not how do they quench their thirst?

Yes, spiders do drink water. In the wild, most will drink from any available source such as droplets on vegetation or the ground, and from early morning or evening dew that has condensed on their webs. For those kept in captivity, it is a good idea to provide a fresh water source such as a small bottle cap or damp sponge for smaller species, or a small dish for larger species such as tarantulas.

Writing has always been the thread connecting my professional and creative worlds. Whether developing educational resources, exploring emerging technologies, creating stories for children, or building fictional universes, every publication represents the same underlying goal: making complex ideas more accessible, meaningful, and human.
