If you haven’t already noticed, I’m fascinated with AI and where we’re headed. With the emergence of Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) and OpenAI’s offerings in AGI, things are about to change. I’m not sure how ready the world is for that change, but we definitely need to embrace it and not run away or hide under our desks. It’s 2024, and we are evolving at a phenomenological level.

Unlike narrow AI, which is designed for specific tasks, AGI possesses the ability to understand, learn, and apply knowledge across a wide range of tasks, much like a human being. OpenAI, a leading research organisation in the AI space, has been at the forefront of AGI development. Their mission is to ensure that AGI benefits all of humanity. However, with great power comes great responsibility. The development and deployment of AGI must be approached with caution to mitigate risks and ensure equitable benefits.
